You've spent so much time and money choosing a beautiful wedding gown and perfect, the perfect bridesmaid dress, perfect hair done and veil, but have you ever thought about your wedding makeup? should Avoid makeups, your face will not be bad, if you do not wear makeups. You still look natural and fresh ....
To the eye lashes ... For the eyebrows ... To my eyes ... Fill gaps or "over-drawn" eyebrows lightly with a good quality eyebrow pencil and apply a brow gel or powder to complete the look. Once again, avoid cosmetics that can make your face shiny. Powder blush is great for oily to normal skin while cream blush works well for dry skin types.
For the lips ... choose a lipstick that matched the color of your lips, it will make lip lines more and more natural look

Tips on How to Apply Makeup

By Sarah H

Here are some tips for applying makeup to make it look as natural as possible.

There's an art to applying makeup so that it looks natural and beautiful. Too much makeup clogs the pores which can result in breakouts and other skin problems.
Your makeup and your skin tone should blend well together.

Choose a foundation that's right for your skin tone and also one that is closest to your skin type. You know the drill oily, dry, combination and sensitive skin. Foundation should be applied to a fresh clean face. Apply a little bit of foundation on different areas of your face, and massage gently onto the skin using a damp sponge. Don't forget to include the jaw line when applying foundation. Once you are satisfied that your foundation looks flawless and natural, covering all the marks on your face, you can proceed to the next step of applying your blush, lipstick and eye makeup.

Always use a mild cleanser designed for the face, never regular bar soap as this will dry out your skin and, you guessed it cause more skin problems.

Makeup Ideas

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

By Vivian Timson

Women wear makeup for different reasons. Primarily, women use makeup to prettify their face - to enhance their best features and to improve their weak spots. As a means to fight the cruel effects of time as far as their beauty is concerned, women employ various makeup techniques and makeup ideas.

It is important to use makeup that is appropriate to your age. If you are a twenty-something, your makeup should reflect the full bloom of womanhood. Use a light foundation, light powder blush, a lightly tinted lipstick. To avoid further damage to the skin, wear makeup that offers protection and is made from gentle ingredients. Use an oil-based foundation if you have dry skin or a powder foundation if you have oily skin, and put a light base on your facial wrinkles.

Natural Makeup For a Great Look!

Monday, March 8, 2010

By Carolyn Dickerson

Natural makeup is a term which refers to makeup that looks natural after it's applied. Your foundation makeup should blend these tones to a neutral color. Use neutral colors to enhance your own facial features. If you have brown eyes, wear brown or green shadows. If you have blue eyes, use a pretty shade of gray or blue that naturally draw out your eye's color. Apply colors that compliment what you've already got and you'll look more natural.

How to Apply Natural Makeup

Use them in your makeup application!

• Apply foundation makeup. The best foundation for all skin types is mineral makeup. Mineral makeup is usually applied with a brush. • To keep eye makeup natural, stick to neutral shades. Use whatever colors blend well with your complexion while complimenting your eye color at the same time. Neutral colors allow you to enhance your natural features by complementing the iris of your eyes. When applying natural makeup, keep the color families the same for eyes, cheeks, and lips.
Apply blush to those areas.

• Natural looking lipsticks should be muted colors or sheer. Stick with colors that blend well with your lips natural undertones. If your lips are naturally pinkish, use a light pink creme lipstick or sheer pink lipstick. Use any colors that allow your lips to look more natural. Apply a dab of light colored lip gloss to the center of the lips to emphasize fullness. • Finish makeup application with a gentle puff of translucent loose powder, which will help to set your makeup. Natural makeup should add subtle hints of color only. Because you're not wearing as much makeup, your makeup application gets a lot easier!

Improving Skin Quality With Natural Makeup

By Connor R Sullivan

Natural cosmetics and natural makeup serve two important objectives, they are- providing a good make-up and at the same time keeping the skin healthy.

The natural makeup is non-allergenic. Besides natural makeup has a number of advantages over the regular makeup items that are composed of chemicals. The natural makeup protects the skin form harmful rays of the sun, especially the UVA and the UVB. The skin problems like acne, rosacea, erythema {that is, redness of the skin} caused due to treatments like chemical peels of the skin and laser resurfacing treatments, are completely covered and concealed by the application of natural cosmetics and makeup. Natural makeup has antibacterial qualities because it does not support bacteria. Using such makeup is economically feasible too as using the natural products lowers the cost of the cosmetic products. So many benefits of the natural makeup and cosmetics obviously make them more preferred products over the artificial ones.

The ingredients of natural makeup are very basic and easy to find. This type of makeup and cosmetics is very versatile.

How To Apply Makeup

Saturday, March 6, 2010

By Janice Wee

1. Moisturizer
2. Concealer.
Just apply a little, blend it very well into your skin.
3. Foundation.

Pick a liquid foundation that suits your skin type. Clinique perfectly real foundation gives you a very natural, no makeup look while Clarins True Radiance Foundation had gold pigments that makes your skin seem to light up from within.

You can use a makeup sponge, a brush or your fingers to apply your foundation.

Dot foundation on forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and spread the foundation evenly with your fingers all over your face. For more transparent coverage, use a makeup sponge. Soak the sponge in water and squeeze out all the excess water completely. Then paint your face with that sponge. Blend thoroughly into your skin for a natural and not freaky finish.

Paint that makeup onto your skin with the brush from the center of your face outwards.

Bridal Hair and Makeup

By Asuncion Parra Llorente

Bridal Hair and Makeup

It is what a bride deserves. Bridal hair and makeup should be simple, yet elegant. It is important t remember that the hair and makeup should not compete with the bride's dress; rather the hair and makeup should complement the dress.

The makeup artist should note that the bride will want to feel comfortable, not confined by her bridal hair and makeup. Today's bridal makeup and hair is soft and subtle. Today's updo style is not sprayed, pinned, and tucked to hide every loose hair. The bridal hair is romantic.

Bridal makeup trends are soft and romantic to complement the hair and latest trends in bridal gowns and bridal hair. Today's brides want to glow with elegance.

Rules for Makeup and Hair

Have a portfolio or picture selection available for brides-to-be to view along with the bridal makeup used. During the consultation, note the time of day the wedding will take place, flowers, dress style and color, hair color, bridal hair style, eye color, time of year, and personality. 4. Discuss different bridal hair and makeup trends. Demonstrate your selection for the bride-to-be. Demonstrate more than one bridal makeup style and photograph the results.

Samples of bridal color schemes:

Select a simple bridal makeup color scheme. If the bride is wearing white and has dark hair, introduce colors in the pink/rose family. Mauve/rose shadow, rose blush, rose lips.

Bridal eye makeup should be soft. When choosing bridal foundation makeup, think of longevity and photography. Today's bride wants to show her beauty in a natural, sensual way. The makeup artist can provide the bride with confidence and easy elegance that will be reminisced often.

Bridal Beauty Do's and Don'ts

By William Miranda

Hire a professional! Why do your own hair and makeup? Schedule your trail a month or two before your wedding day. Give yourself and your artist plenty of time to get it right. Bring lots of pictures for your artist to mull over, even the "absolutely not this" picture. Your artist doesn't really know you, your likes or dislikes. If you can provide any pictures and specifics to your artist before you meet that's even better. Forward the photos to your artist with any additional input you may have. You may change your mind about certain aspects such as lip color after the trial, and it is important to let the artist know about this in advance of the wedding day. Tip your artist for their work at your trial and on your wedding day. You may need that much time to resolve some conditions.

Don't experiment with your hair color or length for your wedding. Stick with the tried and true or keep your hair on the longer side so your artist has plenty to work with. Don't wax, thread or pluck on your wedding day. Try to schedule hair removal a week in advance to avoid red irritated skin. Your artist can easily pluck out some stray hairs on the day of if necessary.

Most artists do not recommend wearing red lipstick on your wedding day unless it is part of your everyday look.

Foundation Makeup - Should You Use Liquid or Powder?

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Applying makeup without a foundation base can actually enhance unsightly skin problems, rather than conceal them. How Do I Choose A Foundation Makeup Base?

The foundation color that you choose must blend in with your natural skin tone.

In the winter your skin will lighten again back to its original tone and you should use your natural base color foundation makeup.

Deciding Between Liquid and Powder Foundations

The next decision is to determine whether you would prefer powder foundation or liquid foundation makeup. Most women seem to prefer the liquid foundation base. As well, once blended into the skin, liquid foundation makeup appears more natural and lighter, giving the skin a smooth, even appearance. Apply a small amount of liquid foundation at a time and blend in carefully.

It also comes in a variety of bases to suit women with dry skin, normal skin, oily skin, combination skin, and sensitive skin types.

Powder foundations are a less popular choice, but can work just as well as liquid foundation makeup. Liquid-powder foundation combinations are another choice that is gaining in popularity. Remember, the best makeup techniques start with a good foundation that is appropriate for your skin type and skin tone.

Foundation Makeup - Application Tips and Guide

Foundation makeup is the base that sets the overall look of makeup. Choose the Right Foundation for You
Women have different needs, at different ages. Foundation makeup comes in many forms, including age-defying and lighter coverage types. Also, there is skin type, if you have oily skin choose one that is made for oily skin, for dry skin an extra moisturizing one will work best and will help to prevent the problems commonly associated with different types of skin.

Applying Foundation Tips

Put your foundation on last. Many women start with it and then apply eye makeup. Powder is the finishing touch that not only seals the foundation in place, but also provides a flawless finish.

Optimal Foundation Makeup Tips

Foundation is a groundwork, which is applied prior to starting makeup.
Provide a charming appearance to your skin.

To opt on which foundation will best fit your skin type is a subtle job for women. Foundations produced for hypersensitive or acne skin kinds include salicylic acids, which facilitate keeping the pores unaffected from clogging. Dehydrated skins need to evade powders at all cost, as they dry out the skin all the more. Never use lusterless finishes if you have dry skin type, because they would turn the skin completely non-alive skin.

When you merge the thoughts of foundation and grown-up skin types, no one can but picture putty-like makeup.

Foundation For Black Women - Examples of Liquid Foundation Makeup

You can decide to use a powder foundation or a liquid type. It is called Black Opal True Color Liquid foundation. It comes in a little bottle but you will find that a little does go a long way. Liquid foundation will take a little time to get right. You can choose to apply this make up using sponge wedges, using cotton pads or even your fingers.

The Benefits Of Wearing All Natural Cosmetics And Makeup

By Kerry Gibbs

Thousands of cosmetic products are touted in every form of media imaginable. With all of the chemicals and preservatives that are in today's cosmetics, more women are turning to the benefits of all natural makeup that doesn't contain these harmful ingredients. One of the biggest benefits of switching to all natural makeup products is the fact that your skin will experience fewer breakouts. With an all natural makeup line, this is no longer a problem. Many of the popular commercial cosmetic lines use oils as the base for their makeup products. No Animal Testing

Because there are no chemicals in natural cosmetics, and many are made from organic ingredients, there is no risk to women who wear the makeup; and thus no reason for animal testing.

Due to the very nature of all natural makeup, the ingredients are much less expensive than those used in most commercial cosmetics.

Using Organic Cosmetics - The Benefits

By John Bradshaw Depp

In addition to eating organic food, we should also aim to use organic cosmetics as well. There are actually two major benefits when we choose organic items, including cosmetics, over those that include cosmetics.

1. Organic cosmetics are better for our bodies and our health.

Organic-based cosmetics are better for our bodies and health in the way that organic food is. Chemicals which our bodies silently absorb like coal tar, lead, mercury, and other chemicals with different levels of toxins, are normally found in the cosmetics that promise to make our faces smoother and our complexions better. By patronizing organic-based cosmetics, we actually do our bodies a big favor.

2. Organic cosmetics are better for the environment.

If you care for yourself and the environment, we should be advocates of using organic products over the chemical based ones.

Make Up Tips - Why it's Important to Stay Up to Date on Today's Make Up Tips and Trends

By Jennifer Robertson

It's very similar to hair styles...remember when the mullet was en vogue? Eyeshadow was kept to a minimum and eyeliner was conservative, with mascara light and eyelashes wispy. Back then, the make up tips the magazines gave readers encouraged them to keep the eyeshadow heavy and in dark brown or metallic colors. Delta Burke was the hot woman of the day and ruled on Designing Women. Hair was teased and sprayed within an inch of its life, sequins and poufy sleeves were standard fare.

Thankfully, if you read a women's magazine today the make up tips tell you that less is more.

Summer Make Up Tips

By Shirley J Miller

One very important summer time makeup tip is to make sure your face is properly cared for. In the warmer weather we tend to sweat more. This leaves us vulnerable to clogged pores and break outs. A handy little tip is to store all of your concealing cream, lipstick, eyeliner and foundation in the refrigerator. Before applying any sort of foundation you may want to try lightly brushing your entire face with a translucent face powder. Go very easy on wearing eye make up in the warm weather, or you could end up with those horrible black lines running down our face. Summer is a time for fun so go out and enjoy the warm days.

Makeup Brushes

By Jamie Jensen

While most makeup compacts come with mini brushes for application, it's quite helpful to have a good set of personal makeup brushes instead. The small brushes placed in compact blush and eye shadows don't often last long or apply the makeup well. When choosing makeup brushes, there are several different types of brushes to look for. Powder brushes can be used for bronzer but should not to be confused with their slightly smaller counterpart, the blush brush. The majority of makeup brushes are used for the eyes. Finally, there are lip brushes. These brushes are typically fine-tipped and have very sturdy bristles. Because of the makeup being applied with lip brushes, you may need to wash them more frequently than the other types of makeup brushes.

Makeup brushes will not break your bank, but they will change the way you apply makeup.

Usually you will need at least one of each of these: foundation brush, eye shadow brush, lip brush, brow brush, powder brush. For applying mineral powder foundation a Kabuki brush is usually used, which is a smaller handle brush which makes mineral powder easy to apply.

Once you have identified the brushes you need you will want to check out the quality of the brushes. If you are on a budget consider a brush with a plastic handle, but keep in mind that over time these will not hold up as well as makeup brushes with wood handles. You also want to decide whether you want brushes that are made with synthetic hair or animal hair.

Many popular products and familiar brands of makeup cosmetics are available for women including MAC Cosmetics Makeup, and Mineral Makeup Cosmetics. If you are looking for makeup cosmetics that won't be harmful to your skin, then you should look at mineral cosmetics makeup. Permanent cosmetic makeup may not be practical for them. Some traditional products irritate skin, causing embarrassing red blotches and skin blemishes. These women are becoming passionate about the new line of mineral makeup cosmetics. Originally introduced for women with sensitive skin, mineral makeup products contain ingredients that are safe for all skin types, and look great on all skin tones.

If you are tired of applying makeup cosmetics every day, permanent cosmetic makeup will be the best way to go. Mineral makeup cosmetics are probably the safest route to follow, because ordinary makeup cosmetics contain allergens.

Women like product names when it comes to makeup cosmetics. MAC makeup cosmetics and MAC cosmetics makeup are available in loose powders that can rejuvenate your skin. Ordinary makeup cosmetics can do the same thing - with or without a product name.

Are Your Cosmetics Safe?
By Stephen Dolan

Cosmetics are defined in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act as:

Wearing cosmetics to bed, sharing cosmetics, scratching yourself with a mascara wand, and aerosol fumes are the top dangers of cosmetic use.
The most irritating ingredients in cosmetics are talc, dye, fragrance and preservatives. The two main categories of safer cosmetics are mineral cosmetics and hypoallergenic cosmetics.

Mineral Cosmetics

This natural makeup is the simplest, most natural, and non-reactive form of cosmetics. Mineral cosmetics are made from minerals and inorganic pigments that exist in nature. If you've ever had trouble finding a foundation that matches your skin tone or locating that perfect eyeshadow color, you will love mineral cosmetics.

Hypoallergenic Cosmetics

Hypoallergenic cosmetics are products that makers claim cause fewer allergic reactions than other products. Hypoallergenic cosmetics contain a minimum of allergenic ingredients, such as perfumes and preservatives, which will cause skin irritation and other allergic reactions.

However, there is a controversy about the labeling of hypoallergenic cosmetics. Consumers concerned about allergic reactions from cosmetics should understand that no cosmetic can be guaranteed never to produce an allergic reaction. Even products that have natural ingredients can cause allergic reactions.

Halloween Makeup

By Ronald A Crow

Many items such as fake blood can easily be created at home.
Corn Syrup Blood
1 oz. red food coloring
1 oz. washing detergent (Do not add for edible blood!)
1 oz. water
16 oz. White corn syrup
A drop of blue food coloring

Mix the ingredients together to create the fake blood. The Corn Syrup Blood is extremely sticky and can stain clothes and skin. Take your time. Most makeup kits if purchased from a store contain only enough contents to create the one desired effect. If you can easily put on your costume without disturbing your makeup or getting it on your costume, do your makeup first. If your costume is difficult to put on place a towel around your neck to avoid drips and spills.

Pull back your hair. Grab a mirror and plan where you want to apply your makeup. Avoid placing makeup near the eyes.
